Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care nursing for ICU patients with compassion and precision
- Monitor and interpret complex patient data, responding promptly to changes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and other advanced ICU therapies following protocols
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery expectations
- Document patient status and care activities accurately and timely in the electronic record
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure appropriate for California
- Recent ICU experience and comfort with high-acuity patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Current immunizations and any facility-mandated screenings as required
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in critical care assessment and rapid intervention
- Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Proficient in medication administration for critically ill patients
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
