Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during 12-hour day shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic instructions
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Contribute to unit documentation and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Per-diem availability and reliability for scheduled shifts
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in fast-paced healthcare settings and collaborating with teams

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or diploma); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medications, and patient assessment
• Experience with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Skilled in patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safety best practices
• Ability to triage, escalate concerns, and support complex patient needs
