Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to geriatric and swing-bed patients, putting comfort and dignity first
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms to detect changes early and act decisively
• Perform advanced wound care interventions and document progress
• Deliver safe med/surg nursing including medication administration and patient assessments
• Document all care accurately and efficiently in Cerner to maintain continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate discharge and rehab planning
• Perform minor procedures as appropriate and follow unit-specific policies
• Deliver concierge-level patient experience consistent with the unit’s standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (as listed in the hiring profile)
• Demonstrated experience with geriatric care or inpatient rehab / swing bed patients (must have)
• Telemetry experience and comfort interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Advanced wound care skills required
• BLS required; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Experience with Cerner or similar electronic documentation systems

Education

• Active RN license (degree level not specified in posting)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Med/Surg fundamentals and patient assessment skills
• Wound care techniques and best practices
• Proficient Cerner documentation and electronic charting
• Ability to work with lean staffing models and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with unit workflows in small hospital settings
