Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for PCU patients with compassion and clinical confidence
• Monitor and interpret patient status using telemetry and other monitoring tools to detect changes early
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, respiratory therapy, PT/OT and case management — to support patient recovery
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans and discharge needs to support smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (required)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (as indicated in the job posting)
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience preferred
• Current BLS certification (or willing to obtain prior to start) and any other required facility certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for higher-acuity PCU patients
• Experience with cardiac monitoring/telemetry and interpreting trends
• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Accurate clinical documentation and time management
