Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor PCU patients, performing focused physical and mental status exams
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Interpret telemetry and vital sign trends and escalate changes promptly
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to keep patients moving toward discharge
• Document patient care and changes in condition clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient needs while maintaining a calm, compassionate bedside presence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in the assignment state
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical nursing experience, with PCU or progressive care experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and telemetry experience highly valued
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple acuity patients and prioritize effectively
• Willingness to complete required facility onboarding, background check, and immunization verification

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Solid medication administration and IV/infusion competency
• Excellent patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Accurate electronic health record documentation and time management
