Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in a variety of cases — confidently support pediatric, ENT and plastic surgery procedures
• Deliver expert perioperative care for neurosurgical cases, including craniotomies and complex spine procedures
• Manage blood and blood products safely and follow strict specimen handling and labeling procedures
• Maintain infection control, wound management and universal protocol (time-out) compliance every case
• Operate and troubleshoot key OR equipment such as electrosurgical units and cell saver systems
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in on-call coverage and float to other surgical settings as needed to meet department needs
• Support robotic-assisted procedures (Da Vinci Xi) and other advanced surgical technologies when required

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• 1 year OR experience preferred — 1Y / first-timers OK (opportunities for newer OR nurses)
• BLS required; CNOR preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting (Charting system: Epic is required)
• Comfort circulating in pediatric, ENT and plastic surgery cases and competency in neurosurgery (craniotomy, complex spine) expected
• Trauma Level II experience preferred; willingness to float to outpatient surgical center and participate in call
