Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Float between MedSurg Tele and PCU units across both campuses, providing compassionate care to a variety of patients
Manage and titrate critical drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to patient needs in a fast-paced float pool environment
Collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aids to deliver safe, high-quality care with ratios of 1:4 in PCU and 1:5-6 in MedSurg Tele
Support post-procedural and cardiac patients, including post-MI, post-Cath, and CABG recovery patients
Provide care for geriatric and orthopedic patients while maintaining excellent clinical standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience
Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills with ability to pass exam within two attempts
Comfortable managing multiple titratable drips and interpreting cardiac strips

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen therapy
Ability to float between multiple units and adapt quickly to different patient populations
Strong communication skills for coordinating with interdisciplinary teams
Flexible and reliable with changing assignments and schedules
