Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Flexible 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, rotating holidays; self-scheduling and block scheduling available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
Perform triage, assessment, and rapid intervention for patients presenting with chest pain, stroke, trauma, and other emergencies
Manage advanced drips including Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Propofol, Fentanyl, and Levophed
Assist with central line placement, chest tubes, MTP, and other critical procedures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and timely discharges
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed to support staffing needs

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience in a similar volume and acuity setting
Active RN license in Texas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) within 3 attempts prior to contract start
Strong skills in trauma, STEMI, stroke, and code management

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in central line placement, chest tube insertion, MTP, and rapid transfusion
Comfortable with common ER drips: Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Propofol, Fentanyl, Levophed
Experience with EMR systems PulseCheck and Picis
Ability to independently monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
Strong teamwork and communication skills in a high-stress environment
