Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to high-acuity CVICU patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery, on Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post lung/thoracic transplant
Monitor telemetry using Philips system and manage complex hemodynamics
Perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies, Swan-Ganz catheter insertions, and epidural management
Collaborate with intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists in a fast-paced, 24-bed unit
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, maintaining a 4:1 patient ratio on tele
Participate in pass/fail SIMs lab on day 1, demonstrating competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience, preferably in CVICU
Level I Trauma experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
Strong IV skills and proficiency with Cerner EMR
Natural hair color and no facial piercings (facility policy)
Men must be clean-shaven for fit test

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and pass a dysrhythmia exam
Strong understanding of sterile field during central line and Foley procedures
Comfortable with high patient acuity and 1:1-2 ratios
