Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiovascular surgeries including aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass graft, and heart valve replacement
Provide hospital rounding and surgical coverage during on-call hours
Collaborate with the cardiothoracic team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Adhere to facility protocols and patient safety standards

Qualifications

Active South Carolina medical license (required)
Board certified in Cardiovascular Surgery (required)
Active ACLS certification (required)
Fellowship training in cardiovascular surgery (required)
Clean background check with self-query NPBD report (required)

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Surgery

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiovascular surgical procedures such as CABG and valve replacement
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage on-call emergencies and critical situations
