Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights; includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Manage critical patients including trauma, chest pain, stroke, and medical emergencies
- Administer and titrate vasoactive drips such as Levophed, Cardene, and Nitro
- Assist with procedures including chest tubes, central lines, and rapid transfusions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, midlevels, and techs
- Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed (16 minutes apart)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a similar volume and trauma level facility
- Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before contract start (3 attempts allowed)
- Not directly employed by CommonSpirit (CHI/Dignity) within the past year
- Comfortable floating and precepting as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in emergency nursing and trauma care
- Proficiency in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
- Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Ability to triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EMR systems (PulseCheck or Picis)
