Shift Type: Self-scheduling and block scheduling. Typical shifts 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts). Call requirements: one weekday per month and one weekend (Fr-Sun) per month.

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in open heart and endovascular surgeries as a key member of the CVOR team
• Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and equipment for a variety of cases including hearts, vascular, thoracic, general, neuro, spine, robotics, and ortho
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments precisely during fast-paced procedures
• Ensure proper handling of specimens and surgical supplies in a high-volume OR with 16 suites and ~30 cases per day
• Float to general OR as needed to support overall surgical services
• Participate in call rotations to provide coverage for weeknights and weekends

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Colorado DORA license as a Surgical Technologist
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Proven experience in open heart and endovascular surgery
• Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with a 60-mile radius rule
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with surgeons and nurses

• Expertise in open heart and endovascular surgical procedures
• Proficient in sterile technique and infection control practices
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment for CVOR and general OR
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
• Excellent problem-solving skills in high-stress situations
