Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on the MST unit
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond efficiently to clinical emergencies and escalate appropriately
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California or eligibility to obtain one
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Telemetry experience preferred; previous MST or med-surg experience a strong plus
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and adapt to varied teams
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
• Compliance with facility onboarding requirements and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Patient assessment and clinical documentation
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced unit
• Basic familiarity with electronic health record systems
