Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the assigned shift
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings clearly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document per policy
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient status proactively
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge and follow-up
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and self-care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold compliance standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact license where applicable)
• Experience or training in MST as noted in the job posting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and managing acutely ill patients
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on per diem shifts
• At least 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and clinical judgment for adult patient care
• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Electronic medical record documentation and charting
• Infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Teamwork, adaptability, and time management in fast-paced settings
