Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a Med/Surg unit with clinical excellence
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Hampshire license or RN compact eligible preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Clinical experience or training in Med/Surg nursing; orientation is provided
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced team environment and communicate effectively

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond to changing clinical needs
