Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess patient condition frequently and implement appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and titrate infusions according to orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor hemodynamics and respond to changes with timely interventions
• Document patient care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly
• Support families with compassionate updates and education during critical illness
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• ICU experience preferred; prior critical care experience strongly desired
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required or obtained upon hire if not current
• Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and complex critical care equipment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of critical care principles and ICU monitoring
• Skill with ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Proficiency with infusion pumps and titratable medications
• Ability to prioritize in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting per policy
• Team-oriented approach with strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills
