Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality ICU care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Perform ongoing patient assessment and hemodynamic monitoring, responding quickly to changes
• Coordinate with physicians and the care team about diagnostic results and changes in condition
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and maintain meticulous nursing documentation
• Guide and educate patients and families to support recovery and understanding of care plans
• Direct and mentor other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 1 year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital or critical care setting
• CCRN (Critical Care RN) certification preferred
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications noted in requirements
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Ability to pass required screenings: drug screen, TB test, fit test, and other occupational health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing and critical care expertise
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Care planning and implementation of nursing interventions
• Evaluation of patient responses and adjustment of care
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with EMR workflows (EPIC preferred)
• Rhythm interpretation and pharmacology knowledge
• Effective communication with physicians, patients, and families
