Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity
• Implement and manage treatment plans, administer medications, and perform procedures according to protocol
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior emergency department or urgent care experience preferred (1+ years ideal)
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but ADN holders with experience are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and rapid response procedures
• Comfortable working with electronic health records (EHRs)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
