Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data and intervene promptly when needed
• Provide clear education and compassionate support to patients and families
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Hawaii or compact multistate license eligibility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Emergency nursing experience or strong interest in emergency medicine
• Ability to work 12.5-hour clinical shifts in a high-acuity environment
• Strong communication skills and proven teamwork under pressure

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills with quick clinical decision-making
• Familiarity with emergency protocols, trauma care principles and rapid intervention
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Skilled at patient/family education, de-escalation and crisis management
• Ability to prioritize multiple high-acuity patients while maintaining safety
