Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy 22-bed Emergency Department
• Perform triage and rapid assessment using ESI guidelines to prioritize care
• Manage high-acuity patients including STEMI, stroke, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health cases
• Administer medications, start IVs, obtain and interpret EKGs, and document care accurately in Meditech
• Assist with intubation, rapid sequence intubation, CPR, and code responses
• Provide moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions and cardioversion
• Coordinate patient transport and prepare patients for higher levels of care
• Maintain infection control and isolation protocols while delivering compassionate patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse credential (state licensure required)
• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred)
• ENPC and CPI certifications preferred or required as listed
• Strong triage, critical thinking, and trauma assessment skills
• Experience with cardiac alert/STEMI, stroke, and sepsis workflows
• Comfort with Meditech documentation preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department nursing best practices and ESI triage
• Trauma care, cardiac alert/STEMI, stroke, and sepsis protocols
• IV insertion, medication administration, and EKG acquisition/interpretation
• Assisting with intubation, rapid sequence intubation, and CPR
• Moderate sedation procedures and monitoring
• Infection control and isolation precautions
• Accurate and timely documentation (Meditech experience is a plus)
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills
