Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in a high-acuity emergency setting
• Stabilize and manage patients using evidence-based emergency nursing practices
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments with attention to safety and detail
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver seamless care
• Document assessments, interventions, and clinical changes accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate communication during stressful moments
• Participate in department quality improvement and emergency preparedness activities

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (or compact RN with NH eligibility)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred (new grads with strong ED training are encouraged to apply)
• Strong critical thinking, triage, and IV/medication administration skills
• Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts, including nights and weekends as needed

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency assessment and rapid triage techniques
• Cardiac monitoring, trauma care basics, and acute medical/surgical interventions
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
