Roles & Responsibilities

Perform thorough newborn nursery examinations and deliver excellent, family-centered care
Perform newborn circumcisions with skill and compassion
Participate actively in pediatric resident and medical student education to shape future clinicians
Collaborate with pediatric intensivists, hospitalists, neonatologists, and pediatric subspecialists
Work closely with newborn nursing staff and Certified Lactation Specialists available year-round
Provide care within a 58-bed Level 3 NICU environment supported by 24/7 in-house neonatology

Qualifications

MD or DO required
Experience in newborn hospital medicine and neonatal care
Comfort and proficiency performing newborn circumcisions
Experience or interest in pediatric resident and medical student education
Willingness to reside within the immediate local area as required by the position
Not accepting Locum or visa candidates for this role

Knowledge & Skills

Newborn nursery examinations and routine newborn care
Neonatal care and familiarity with Level 3 NICU operations
Circumcision procedures and newborn post-procedure care
Pediatric education skills for residents and medical students
Collaborative teamwork with neonatology, hospitalists, and subspecialty services
Working with lactation support and dedicated newborn nursing teams
