Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support patient functional recovery
• Document assessment, progress, and discharge plans accurately and timely in the EMR
• Collaborate with nurses, occupational therapy, physicians, and ancillary staff to coordinate care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety, and mobility strategies
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to meet clinical goals
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety guidelines, and professional standards

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy license (ability to obtain California license prior to start is required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain upon hire)
• Experience working in medical/acute care or similar settings preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning and hands-on treatment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, mobility training, and therapeutic exercise
• Knowledge of modalities, manual therapy techniques, and functional activities
• Proficient with clinical documentation and care planning
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Strong time management and patient prioritization skills
