Roles & Responsibilities

• Scan inpatient and ER patients with precision and compassion, ensuring top-quality diagnostic images
• Independently perform MRI exams while supervising and collaborating with an imaging aide
• Operate and troubleshoot the Siemens Espree MRI scanner for a variety of protocols
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately in EPIC EMR
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process, including contrast administration per scope of practice
• Participate in required Trinity competency testing and maintain proficiency with specialty checklists
• Adhere to infection control and departmental protocols, including required immunizations and screenings

Qualifications

• NYS ARRT license with injection privileges (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of independent MRI scanning experience
• Comfortable using EPIC EMR for patient charting and exam documentation
• Experience with Siemens Espree MRI scanner preferred
• Ability to pass Trinity skills checklist and specialty competency testing
• Current immunizations and health clearances as required (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, PPD/IGRA, Varicella, fit test, physical, drug screen)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong MRI scanning skills and image optimization
• Patient positioning and safety procedures for MRI
• Contrast administration knowledge and injection protocols
• Familiarity with Siemens Espree systems and workflow
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR for exam documentation
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in fast-paced settings (ER/inpatient focus)
