Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Position and instruct patients, operate mammography equipment, and obtain diagnostic images per protocol
• Collaborate with radiologists and the imaging team to ensure accurate documentation and timely patient care
• Maintain strict infection control, radiation safety, and equipment quality assurance procedures
• Communicate results and next steps clearly and compassionately to patients and care teams
• Assist with scheduling, image archiving, and follow-up coordination to support efficient clinic flow

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography or diagnostic radiology (as listed in the posting)
• Certification in Mammography (ARRT-M or equivalent) strongly preferred or required where applicable
• Valid state radiologic technologist license for Florida (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Mammography program
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in mammography techniques and positioning for screening and diagnostic studies
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and digital imaging workflows
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and quality assurance procedures
• Excellent patient communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and time-management skills
