Roles & Responsibilities

Lead hospital staff during night operations, providing clear direction on policies, procedures, and patient-flow priorities
Coordinate nursing resource allocation and staff assignments to ensure safe, efficient patient care
Organize workflow and delegate tasks so teams know their duties and can focus on patient needs
Monitor employee productivity, give constructive feedback, and coach staff to improve performance and morale
Make administrative and clinical decisions in collaboration with clinical leaders and the Chief Nursing Officer
Respond to and resolve patient and family complaints with empathy and professionalism
Work closely with charge nurses and non-clinical support staff to maintain smooth operations across units
Initiate and develop special projects that improve patient flow, staff utilization, and overall care quality

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana
Minimum 3 years' RN experience in a hospital setting with recent ICU experience preferred
Current CPR certification required
ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Demonstrated leadership or resource nurse experience with strong people skills
Comfortable operating multiple IV pumps and advanced medical equipment, including ventilator support, A-lines, invasive lines, and chest tubes
Experience caring for patients across the lifespan (infancy to geriatrics) and strong cardiac monitoring background

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Nursing supervision and staff assignment
Patient flow management and resource utilization
Clinical decision making and advanced nursing procedures
Post-operative care and cardiac monitoring
Critical thinking, customer service, and project development
Proficiency with basic office equipment and multiple IV pump use
