Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to telemetry alerts and changes
Perform thorough assessments and document patient status accurately in the EMR
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan and implement patient care
Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and discharge instructions
Escalate changes in patient condition promptly and participate in clinical problem-solving

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for California
Telemetry nursing experience (clinical comfort with cardiac monitoring preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or encouraged
Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and ability to act in urgent situations
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Ability to work per diem and adapt to variable shift assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac telemetry interpretation and alarm management
Skilled in bedside assessments, IV medication administration, and wound care basics
Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation
Ability to prioritize, triage, and multitask in a fast-paced setting
Strong patient education and family communication abilities
