Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• Apply radiation protection principles and exercise professional judgment during procedures
• Perform diagnostic medical radiography across the department and other clinical areas
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging files
• Lead and participate in departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC activities
• Assist with CT/interventional procedures, prepare equipment, and support referring physicians
• Set up and run automatic injectors and modify contrast protocols by patient age
• Perform venipuncture and maintain competence in sterile technique when required
• Operate tele-radiology transmission systems and support interdepartmental imaging needs
• Support supply inventory, equipment care, and general department hygiene

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality
• Willingness to learn and maintain competency in additional imaging modalities as directed
• Comfort rotating shifts and taking on-call responsibilities (report within 20 minutes)
• Competence or certification in additional modalities (CT, MR, MG, NM, ARDMS) is a plus

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiographic examination and diagnostic radiography
• Radiation protection principles and patient safety
• Imaging modalities: CT and X-ray (primary); familiarity with MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine a plus
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique
• Quality assurance/quality control and equipment care
• Patient care across all age groups and strong communication skills
