Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations of all body parts for accurate diagnostic interpretation
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely, applying radiation protection principles
• Prepare and run automatic contrast injectors and adjust protocols by patient age
• Assist with invasive/interventional procedures and maintain sterile technique when required
• Maintain patient records, equipment care, and department quality assurance (QC) activities
• Transfer and prepare patients of all age groups with professionalism and compassion
• Participate in tele-radiology transmissions and consult with referring physicians
• Rotate shifts, take call as scheduled, and assume supervisory duties in the supervisor's absence

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography required
• Clinical competency attainment required within 3 months of hire and renewed every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to the assigned modality (CT/X-ray)
• Willingness to learn and work across multiple imaging modalities (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography)
• Able to take call and respond to work within 20 minutes
• Comfortable assisting with invasive procedures and performing venipuncture

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program or equivalent clinical training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) and diagnostic radiography / X-ray expertise
• Radiation safety and protection best practices
• Quality assurance (QC) and equipment care
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique competency
• Patient transfer, pediatric/geriatric patient handling, and strong patient-care skills
