Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams while following established protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality
• Operate and maintain CT equipment safely and troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Administer contrast agents and monitor patients when required, adhering to safety guidelines
• Provide compassionate patient care: explain procedures, assess patient readiness, and ensure comfort
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the Cerner charting system
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff in an acute/trauma setting
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control practices to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current ARRT registration (Computed Tomography) — required
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Fluoroscopy privileges/certification as required by the facility
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience in an acute care setting
• Current state licensure (submit license as required)
• Comfortable with trauma/acute care workflow and fast-paced environments
• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (or equivalent accredited program)
• Completion of ARRT certification program in Radiography/CT

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven expertise in CT imaging and cross-sectional anatomy
• Experience with fluoroscopy procedures and radiation safety principles
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic medical record/charting systems
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Ability to follow imaging protocols and adapt to physician/radiologist requests
• Basic equipment troubleshooting and routine maintenance awareness
• Time management skills to handle a 4x10 night schedule efficiently
