Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility to maintain patient safety and dignity
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control practices and keep a clean, safe environment
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Current and active CNA certification (or equivalent) — state-specific credentials recommended
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of patient care and infection control practices
• Skill in taking and accurately documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and mobility techniques
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nurses and caregivers
