Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening mammography exams with attention to image quality and patient comfort
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment following manufacturer guidelines
• Apply ACR and MQSA standards for image quality, documentation and regulatory compliance
• Conduct routine mammography quality assurance checks and document results
• Provide compassionate patient care, including patient positioning, education and support during exams
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate results and follow-up
• Maintain accurate exam records and ensure proper imaging documentation and storage

Qualifications

• ARRT certification with advanced mammography credentials (ARRT Advanced Mammography)
• Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience with mammography quality assurance, ACR and MQSA compliance
• Strong patient care skills and professional bedside manner

Knowledge & Skills

• Screening mammography techniques and patient positioning
• Mammography equipment operation and routine maintenance
• ACR standards and MQSA regulatory requirements
• Image quality assessment and quality assurance processes
• Radiation safety principles and infection control practices
• Effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
