Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the Neuro/Medical ICU setting
• Monitor and manage ventilators, hemodynamics, and other advanced ICU equipment
• Perform and assist with procedures such as central line and A-line care and intubation as needed
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR (Meditech) and communicate changes clearly to the team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity during stressful moments
• Adhere to unit policies and ICU best practices to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in the assignment state
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (candidates without ICU experience will not be considered)
• Comfortable working night shifts and providing weekend coverage
• Hands-on experience with central line, A-line care, and intubation preferred
• Meditech EMR experience is a plus; Neuro and Oncology ICU experience preferred
• Team player who is accountable, caring, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care assessment and intervention
• Familiarity with standard ICU equipment and ventilator management
• Experience with Meditech EMR for documentation and communication
• Skilled in central line and arterial line care, and airway management support
• Ability to prioritize care in a 2:1 patient ratio environment
• Comfort with EVD care and other neuroscience ICU procedures
