Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during 12-hour day shifts
• Assess patients thoroughly and prioritize interventions to keep care safe and effective
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, high-quality care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery, safety, and self-management
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive care environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Experience or training related to the MST specialty as indicated in the posting
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus depending on unit
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working independently on per diem shifts and integrating into existing teams
• Clean clinical record and references that demonstrate reliability and professionalism

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, patient assessment, and safety practices
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Sensitivity to specialized patient populations related to the MST role
