Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and direct Patient Financial Services and Professional Billing teams to ensure accurate, compliant revenue cycle operations
• Oversee credentialing for physicians, APPs, practice locations, home health, hospice and the main hospital
• Create and implement policies and procedures to improve patient account processes and customer satisfaction
• Provide oversight of billing processes to optimize revenue capture and compliance
• Evaluate and enforce collections policies in collaboration with Pre-Services leadership
• Manage vendor relationships to maximize financial performance and operational efficiency
• Determine staffing needs and drive hiring and development for Patient Financial Services
• Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline the revenue cycle and improve cash flow
• Implement internal controls and monitoring tools in partnership with IT to protect revenue integrity
• Develop and deliver training programs that elevate team capabilities and meet organizational expectations

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Minimum 5 years in a management role within billing or revenue cycle required
• 3 to 5 years experience in medical claims billing and follow-up functions required
• Proven leadership experience with strong judgment and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with hospital accounts receivable and physician practice AR highly preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word required
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic or Meditech preferred
• Familiarity with insurance contracts, EOBs, coding methods, and revenue cycle KPIs preferred
• HFMA CHFP, HFMA CRCP, or AAHAM Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist preferred

Education

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Revenue cycle management and reporting

• Credentialing workflows and compliance
• Accounts receivable management and collections strategies
• Vendor management and contract oversight
• Development of policies, procedures, and internal controls
