Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a telemetry unit
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythm and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings clearly to the care team
• Document care accurately in the patient record and support smooth handoffs
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other nurses to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice (California license expected)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred for telemetry care
• Experience working on a telemetry unit or with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and adapt quickly to new teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• IV medication administration and infusion pump competency
• Patient assessment and rapid response to clinical changes
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Teamwork, clinical judgment, and time management on a busy unit
