Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality radiographic examinations across body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and follow radiation protection principles
• Perform contrast administration, set up and run the automatic injector, and alter protocols by age group
• Assist with invasive/CT interventional procedures and prepare procedural equipment as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper tele-radiology transmission of images
• Perform daily/weekly quality control and support departmental QA programs
• Transfer and position patients safely, applying appropriate precautions for pediatric and geriatric patients
• Participate in supply inventory, ordering, and department upkeep
• Rotate shifts, accept on-call duties, and step into supervisory responsibilities in the absence of management
• Actively pursue and maintain competency in ancillary imaging modalities as assigned

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency must be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform diagnostic exams relevant to assigned modality (CT and X-ray focus)
• Willingness to learn and cross-train in other imaging modalities (XR, MRI, Mammography, etc.)
• Comfortable performing venipuncture and sterile technique as part of procedures
• Able to take on-call shifts and report to work within 20 minutes when required

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency verification within 3 months of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of radiation protection and safe imaging practices
• Experience with CT protocols, contrast administration, and automatic injector operation
• Competence with tele-radiology transmission and routine QC procedures
• Skilled in patient positioning, transfer, and age-appropriate protocol adjustments
• Familiarity with sterile technique and assisting in interventional procedures
• Ability to manage patient records and departmental documentation accurately
