Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technologists and support staff to deliver excellent outpatient imaging services
• Manage daily staffing and operational needs to meet productivity and budget targets
• Oversee image quality control and enforce departmental policies and regulatory standards
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 and Title 22
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and care teams to resolve issues and improve experience
• Support staff development, conduct evaluations, and apply progressive discipline when appropriate
• Collaborate with department leadership on resource allocation and operational decision-making

Qualifications

• Current full California Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) OR ARRT license
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum 5 years as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• At least 2 years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting (desired: 3–5 years managerial/supervisory experience)
• Demonstrated leadership, excellent communication, and strong problem-solving skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (minimum required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic positioning, principles of exposure, radiation safety, and image quality control
• Familiarity with Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22 regulatory standards and survey/compliance processes
• Experience with quality assurance, performance improvement, and regulatory documentation
• Ability to motivate staff, delegate effectively, and manage departmental resources
• Strong patient-centered approach and ability to educate patients, families, students, and staff
