Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility, promoting independence when possible
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Perform routine vital signs and documentation accurately and timely
• Support safe transfers and use of assistive devices to reduce fall risk
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Contribute to a caring atmosphere by offering emotional support and encouragement

Qualifications

• Current, valid CNA certification for the state of Pennsylvania
• Demonstrated experience working in long-term care or similar settings preferred
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
• Ability to pass background and health screenings
• Comfort working overnight hours and adapting to per-diem scheduling

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Good communication and teamwork abilities with clinical staff
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to de-escalate when needed
• Basic charting and documentation skills
