Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (days vary/scheduled as needed), 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shifts
Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate excellent care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (or compact license where applicable)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred depending on unit
Previous acute care or clinical nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and time management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy basics
Electronic charting and accurate documentation
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Infection control and safety best practices
Effective patient and family education techniques
