Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Night shift (12-hour)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the acuity spectrum
Perform rapid triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER setting
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Document assessments and care plans clearly in the medical record
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up
Maintain situational awareness and respond effectively to emergent situations

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable
Emergency Room experience preferred, comfortable with high-acuity patients
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Stability and monitoring of critically ill patients
IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
Clear, timely clinical documentation and handoffs
Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
Basic familiarity with electronic health records and order entry
