Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
Monitor residents’ condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling with dignity and respect
Support mealtime and personal hygiene needs while promoting independence
Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
Contribute to a warm, safe environment that promotes resident comfort and wellbeing

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfort working with older adults and supporting activities of daily living
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
Accurate documentation skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with seniors and families
