Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day shift (schedule varies based on facility needs)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults every shift
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in resident condition
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
- Communicate effectively with nurses, care team members, and families about resident needs
- Accurately chart care and report any concerns or incidents in a timely manner
- Foster dignity and independence for residents through respectful interactions
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required depending on facility policy
- Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with older adults
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow care plans and facility protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education
- GNA certificate or state-recognized equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic nursing care and resident handling
- Observation and reporting of changes in condition
- Infection prevention and safety procedures
- Charting and basic documentation skills
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with the care team
