Location: Brooklyn Pk, Maryland

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Day shift (evening hours)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, promoting dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and communicate care updates
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents safe

Qualifications

GNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Comfortable working evening shifts and flexible per-diem schedule
Compassionate communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic geriatric care and ADL assistance
Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection prevention and OSHA-compliant practices
Strong observational skills and clear communication with nursing team
