Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and assist with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and patient observations
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, and comfort measures while preserving dignity
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean, safe patient environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active registry status or state authorization to practice as a CNA (as applicable)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is a plus
• Reliable, professional, and patient-centered with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Comfortable taking vitals and observing/reporting patient condition
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team and follow direction
