Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report any changes to the nursing team
Document care activities accurately and timely to support continuity of care
Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive nutritional help when needed
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Prior experience working with older adults or in long-term care is a plus
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Safe lifting and transfer techniques
Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
Infection control practices and proper hygiene
Accurate documentation and effective communication with the care team
