Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift, Day)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, dignified personal care to geriatric residents, supporting activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and toileting while promoting independence
Observe and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident observations
Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and facility policies
Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, resident-centered experience

Qualifications

Valid GNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Ability to pass background check and required immunizations
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic geriatric care
Comfortable with resident transfers and safe mobility practices
Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
Reliable time management and teamwork skills
