Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams with technical independence and a focus on patient safety.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications; ensure readiness and cleanliness for each patient encounter.
• Administer intravenous contrast media and perform IV contrast injections per protocol and safety standards.
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment accurately, following imaging protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain quality control, document findings, and enforce department policies, ARRT Standards of Ethics, and Enloe Medical Center core values.
• Provide compassionate patient care, including proper positioning and monitoring during procedures.
• Collaborate with the radiology team to support service excellence and continuous improvement in imaging services.

Qualifications

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (required).
• Approved CPR certification (required).
• ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire (required to complete after hire).
• Desired: Two years of diagnostic x-ray experience and one year of CT experience.
• Preferred: Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification, current ARRT license, state fluoroscopy permit, and advanced CT certification.

Education

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
• Approved CPR certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Cross-sectional anatomy and radiographic positioning expertise
• Strong patient care and communication skills; professional bedside manner
• Proficiency with CT imaging and diagnostic radiography techniques
• Intravenous contrast preparation and administration knowledge
• Quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology awareness
• Critical thinking and problem-solving under fast-paced conditions
• Familiarity with X-ray and CT equipment operation and safety protocols
