Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality direct care to residents
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
• Monitor residents for changes and report observations to nursing staff
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention practices
• Document care in charts and maintain accurate resident records
• Maintain infection control and sanitation standards
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
• Reliable transportation to Smethport, PA and dependable attendance
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED; completion of a CNA program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and assisting with ADLs
• Knowledge of vital signs measurement and documentation
• Understanding of resident safety and fall prevention techniques
• Familiarity with infection control practices
• Competence in basic charting and record-keeping
• Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Compassionate communication with residents and families
