Location: Smethport, PA

Start Date: 04-24-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift, specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with hiring manager (schedule to be determined)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote comfort and dignity
Take and record vital signs, report changes promptly, and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, person-centered care
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents at all times
Participate in trainings and quality initiatives to help improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain licensure)
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Previous long-term care or nursing home experience preferred, but new CNAs are welcome

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside skills
Infection control and safety best practices
Basic charting and documentation skills
Good communication and teamwork with residents and staff
Ability to perform vital signs, mobility assistance, and safe resident transfers
